Design for a bespoke rural residence overlooking the South Downs National Park, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Currently on site, DJA undertook the design and planning, and building regs for this stunning project. Our unique design has been carefully considered, with the layout allowing fantastic views across the grounds. The living space has been divided into zones with glazed links connecting the various elements, allowing light to penetrate the house from all sides. External materials comprise a rich palette of facing stone set against flint walling, all juxtaposed with timber louvres and glazed walls, with the roof tiled in a sustainably sourced blue slate. Working in harmony with the site topography, the form and external finishes reflect the surroundings and respect the rural location.
